Sea air and a real mix of houses

Wallasey has almost every kind of house: Victorian villas above the promenade in New Brighton and Egremont, tight terraces in Seacombe and Poulton, and 1930s semis around Wallasey Village and Leasowe. The semis are often on wiring that has been added to over many years, and a fuse board upgrade with proper RCD protection is one of the most common jobs we do here.

Being on the coast matters too. Salt air is hard on outdoor fittings, so for garden lighting, outside sockets and power to sheds near the front we use weatherproof fittings with the right protection rating and keep the connections sealed, so they last.

  • Had Tom with me today doing a full check on the electrics in my house. He was on time, great with communicating, did a fab job and was generally a lovely young man with clearly a good head on his shoulders. I have saved his number for future work and will recommend him and the business to anyone. Thanks again Tom, genuinely appreciate you coming out today.

Wallasey questions

All questions

Do outdoor lights near New Brighton seafront need anything special?

They need fittings rated for the weather, sealed connections and RCD protection. Salt air corrodes cheaper fittings quickly, so we choose ones suited to a coastal spot and fit them so water cannot get in.

Do you cover Liscard and Seacombe?

Yes, and the rest of Wallasey, including Egremont, Poulton, Wallasey Village and Leasowe. If you are not sure whether we cover your street, text us your postcode.

Are you a registered electrician?

Yes. We are NAPIT approved and registered under the Part P competent person scheme, so notifiable work is certified and registered with building control for you. Every job is tested and you get the right certificate for it: an Electrical Installation Certificate for new circuits and rewires, a Minor Works Certificate for smaller jobs, or an EICR for an inspection.

Do you give free quotes?

Yes. Tell us what you need by phone, WhatsApp or the form on this site and we will give you a clear quote before any work starts. For bigger jobs such as a rewire we come and look first, so the price is based on your actual property, not a guess.

Do you offer a discount for key workers?

Yes. Blue light employees (police, fire, ambulance and other emergency services) and care sector workers get 10% off. Just mention it when you get in touch, and we may ask to see your work ID.

For example: three-bed semi, old fuse box, looking at a full rewire. Or: kitchen being fitted next month, need a new cooker circuit and spotlights.
